According to figures updated Wednesday by the Union Health Ministry, India reported 3,205 new coronavirus infections in a single day, bringing the total number of active cases to 19,509 and the overall tally to 4,30,88,118.

In addition, according to the data posted at 8 a.m., 31 fatalities were reported in 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 5,23,920.

According to the data, the active COVID-19 caseload has increased by 372 cases, bringing it to 19,509 cases.

The active cases make up 0.05 percent of all infections, according to the health ministry, which also stated that the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.74 percent.

The daily positive rate was 0.98 percent, while the weekly figure was 0.76 percent, according to the government.

The number of persons who have recovered from the sickness has risen to 4,25,44,689, with a 1.22 percent case fatality rate.

The total number of doses given out in the country as part of the statewide COVID-19 vaccination effort has surpassed 189.48 crores.

On August 7, 2020, India’s COVID-19 tally topped the 20-lakh milestone, and on December 19, it surpassed the one-crore level. On May 4, it surpassed the dreadful two-crore mark, and on June 23, it surpassed the three-crore mark.
